Being about to die left us in a difficult predicament. What to say? Me and my partner in animation Gregoire decided to take inspiration from an old poem called Desiderata which is about focusing on the really important things in life such as friendship, loyalty and love. We devised to leave behind a few excerpts of lighthearted worldly wisdom, from the point of view of two old codgers about to get six feet under. Being in a darkened room working with the rostrum cameras for a solid week had its benefits! Most of all trying out a completely new production technique, and learning lots of french swear words.
